Become a Shopper - Mystery Shoppers Deliver Results
| Please read all the information below
to find out what's involved in being a mystery shopper, and how
to get the process started. |
Customer Perspectives originated in 1983 in response to a
growing need for improved
customer service. Our mystery shoppers provide evaluations for hundreds
of banks, retail stores and restaurants throughout the US and parts
of Canada. Some clients prefer traditional "paper" shops; others prefer
electronic reports online.
Our mystery shopping company
is committed to providing our clients with quality service and you,
as mystery shoppers, play a crucial role in helping us in this unique
type of opinion research. Because mystery shoppers play such an important
role, you must be:
- Reliable
- Objective
- Observant
- Able to follow our clients' detailed specifications
- Articulate
- Trustworthy

In addition, our mystery
shoppers need good writing skills as one of our unique strengths
is providing our clients with detailed descriptions of each interaction.
And since most of our opinion research data is presented online, our
mystery shoppers must have routine access to the internet.
As a Customer Perspectives mystery shopper, you are an Independent
Contractor and are responsible for declaring and paying your own taxes.
CP does not cover you for Workman's Compensation or Unemployment and
does not pay any of your Social Security taxes. These are the responsibility
of the mystery shopper.

Customer Perspectives
strongly supports MSPA Certification; Gold Certification is now
available on DVD!
|
"There is no question that getting the Gold certification
has been the best (and smartest) thing I have ever done,
from the standpoint of earnings. I went from, maybe bringing
in a bit of extra spending money, to where I now work as
much as I can handle and am free to no longer accept assignments
that pay $5 for the 'privilege' of doing a shop, which also
requires an hour of typing! I also no longer accept assignments
from certain companies...

"Almost from the moment I got the Gold certification,
I began receiving better assignments that paid more. Of
course, I do work very hard to do assignments as they are
requested -- otherwise the Gold certification would have
no meaning."

AVOID MYSTERY SHOPPING JOB SCAMS!
| |
NEVER pay a fee to anyone to sign up,
purchase a book or list of names |
| |
NEVER pay a "membership fee" |
| No legitimate
mystery shopping company will charge you money to register
on their site. One would never apply for a job where the company
asks for money up front so you can start work. |
| |
Companies that promise high paying assignments,
"lots of assignments" in your area or other "too good to be
true" offers to entice you to register should be investigated
further before registering. |
| |
Legitimate mystery shopping companies NEVER
send checks or wire funds to anyone until AFTER they have
successfully completed an assignment and it has been accepted. |
| |
NEVER send personal information via
email |
| |
Get a valid web site and look for the MSPA
logo on that site (see below) |
| |
NEVER go to a website through a link
sent to you in an email. Go to the website independently
of any link that might be sent to you. Scammers often copy
websites so they look real |
| |
Register only on a legitimate, verified
web site. If you do not find the MSPA logo, move on. And even
if you do, verify, verify, verify! Scammers can easily
steal the MSPA logo to make themselves look legitimate. |
The best way to be sure you've reached
a legitimate MSPA member company is from the MSPA website. You
can find mystery shopping company names, phone numbers and websites
at no cost on the MSPA site HERE.

Beware of
Fake Check Scams!
Susan Grant of the Consumer Federation of America discusses the
results of the group's survey of fake-check scams. She said most
people "don't understand that they will be held liable"
when a check turns out to be fake.

Beware of Letters Offering Quick Returns for Cashing a Check
Our company rarely, if ever, conducts mystery shops involving
check cashing or money transfers. We never ask shoppers to send
us money. If someone posing as a representative of our company
ever contacts you with a cashier's check, call us before you try
to cash the check... it may be a scam!

Excerpts from some happy shoppers...
"Your company is one of only a handful that I consider when looking
for shops. Thank you for being such a class act and for treating
mystery shoppers with respect and consideration."
